Fall in Tampa brings cooler breezes, beautiful sunsets and seasonal traditions that make this time of year special. From pumpkin patches to lively festivals, the Tampa area offers plenty of ways to enjoy the season. Here are five great fall activities in and around the Sunshine City. 

Pumpkin Patches and Corn Mazes 

Pumpkin patches are a fall classic, and the bay area has plenty nearby to explore. Visitors can pick out the perfect pumpkin and enjoy a day of fall fun outdoors. Here are a few to check out:

Oktoberfest Tampa 

Celebrate fall with a Bavarian twist at Oktoberfest Tampa. Held at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, this three-day festival features German food, craft beer, live music and contests. It is one of Hillsborough County’s most popular fall traditions.

The Tampa Bay Coffee & Art Festival  

The Tampa Bay Coffee & Art Festival takes place at the Florida State Fairgrounds. You can taste coffee from Florida roasters, explore art exhibits and shop local vendors. The festival also includes panels, meet-and-greets with artists and live music.  

Date: Oct. 25, 2025  

Hosted by the Tampa Bay Times, the 2025 Tampa Holiday Market is a festive shopping event at The Coliseum in St. Petersburg. Guests can explore a wide range of local vendors offering handmade gifts, holiday décor, apparel, accessories, cosmetics and specialty foods. With free admission, free parking and a complimentary ornament for the first 250 attendees each day, it’s a fun way to kick off the holiday season while supporting local businesses.

Football season is in full swing. Watching the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium is a great way to spend a fall evening. Fans can tailgate, visit fan zones and enjoy live NFL action.
